Dear Kip,

I’m in my mid-twenties and have a 23 year old girlfriend that I really love. We have great times and I am seriously considering marrying her. The only reason I haven’t taken this step yet is this… Whenever I’m not with her, I think about other women. When I meet or when I’m with any other women, I can’t get them out of my mind, and I feel like I’m falling in love with all of them. During those times, my girlfriend is not even on my mind; I forget her completely. I never have cheated on her and hopefully I never will. I’m a guy, this is normal — right? Maybe I just have too much love. When I’m married I don’t want to feel guilty for having these feeling for other women.  How do I suppress this guilt?

Dear TOO MUCH LOVE FOR JUST ONE,

Those that have “too much love” usually end up living alone and with 10 cats. They also smell “funny” and have only nerdy friends. That is your future if you don’t correct your unacceptable actions.    

Yes, the economy is in the toilet but that doesn’t mean that your “love exchange rate" should be worth less than the Zimbabwean Dollar ($1 USD = 642,371,437,695,221,000 Zimbabwean Dollars). Stop being a cheap “love whore” and prostituting your “love” to anything that has breasts. They are probably not interested, leave them alone. Keep your fictitious love to yourself and your girlfriend… if you must.

Just because you wish to sleep (or something else) with those and these women doesn’t mean you love them. Have you ever heard of the word “lust?” It also start with an “L,” this feeling can be toward many women and even your girlfriend. I hope this revelation opens your eyes and turns your world upside-down.
 

These questions are probably running through your head right now:

- Am I actually in love with my girlfriend, or is it lust?
- Why am I lusting for other women if I have a girlfriend that I might be in love with?
- Is it safe to drink out of the toilet?
- Am I a douchebag? (Answer: Yes)
- How much is this frickin wedding going to cost me?
- Should I stick with my girlfriend or go for her sister instead?
- 10 cats or…?
- Should Obama be impeached?
 

Yes, you should be concerned and you should also consider that maybe your girlfriend deserves someone better than you? Sometimes you have to let people go and accept the 10 cats. Cats are better than getting beat up by 15 guys that you pissed off by putting your moves on their girlfriends.

Man up! Accept the cats!
 

PS: You can suppress your guilt by living alone with 10 cats and lusting for anyone you want in secret. This is for their safety and yours.
