“It seems like the truth lies with the believer” – your truth might not be someone elses truth. Hence where all the debates and arguements stem from. The christians argue that creation is the absolute truth and that there is a God. While others argue that the Big Bang Theory and theory of evolution are the absolute truth and that there isn’t a necessity for God to exist. What you believe is your truth. You can be a diehard believer in what you believe and no matter what anyone says or what “proof” they present to you that is what YOU ARE going to BELIEVE. Therefore, you as a believer choose your own truth and the truth lies with you. Comprende?

One way of people dieing could probably mean suicide… Think about it, lose the car, than lose the house, lose your family cuz they think your an idiot, what else is there to do? Let me think, oh yay, kill myself.

Other ways: The leaders of this religion hire highly professional hitmem to kill the dropouts to keep the religion and what goes on inside the closed doors.

Based on some stuff i read, if you want to continue living after you leave them, you gotta donate a portion of your earnings to them monthly. Its one of those things, once you get in, theres no way out.

Just in the united states, this religion is generating approx between 25-30 billion dollars a year. Where does that money go i have no idea. But im guessing some of it goes into marketing. Gotta get more people involved. ETC.

Entertainers like Tom Cruise and John Travolta can make great movies but they are so far out of touch with reality I’m surprised they’re not living in rubber rooms. Complete idiots if you ask me. It’s amazing how many people will follow things like that even though it defies common sense.

I haven’t heard the evil galactic warlord and the aliens aspect before so I can’t really comment on that but I can’t let you get away with the comment, “the truth lies with the believer’. Maybe I’m nitpicking but the truth is the truth and belief is belief – period. The notion that different people have different truths belongs right there with Ebonics – in our embarrassing past.

I said ‘yes people have died while trying to get out’. This phrase followed my statement about the websites. Naturally those websites would elaborate on that. Reading comprehnsion is not your friend.

I agree with the first part you said about there being many websites dedicated to the truth by people who have first hand experience with the religion, but that doesn’t answer my question about deaths associated with Scientology. Saying “Google it” isn’t a very solid argument either since as you know they have websites for anything, factual or not. What it sounded like when I read the article is that the members of Scientology are killing people who are trying to get out of the cult. That’s what I want to know about.
